Discovery Flight
A Discovery Flight at TrexAir Aviation Academy combines your interest in becoming an airline pilot with actually flying a plane. Our Discovery Flights are typically an hour of flying and include (weather permitting) a San Francisco Bay Tour of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. We demonstrate a few training maneuvers during the flight to further introduce you to the world of pilot training. You will fly the plane for most of the flight with assistance from our Certified Flight Instructors. For Safety reasons, our CFI’s will take the take off and landing of the aircraft. TrexAir predominately flies an RV-12, a two-seater, which only allows a student pilot and an instructor.
